Vampire Neon-Zilla Party Ball - a honker of a bead fit for misfits like us
$85.00 / Sold Out
bead size (approximately):
30x30mm
brass core/sterling silver caps
5/16" hole
Do you guys remember the French Vanilla Neon-Zilla from last year? It's still neon, but with a black backdrop instead, which is how it earned the Vampire moniker. So if you're like me and you're a little bit goth and a little bit Lisa Frank, this is probably right up your alley. And it's a honker, too. I say this frequently, but I think at 30x30mm, this is the biggest one I've made to date, but I don't have time to fact check that, so pardon me if I've misspoken. It has a crystal clear exterior, stuffed with neon seed beads of different shapes and sizes, black seed beads also of different shapes and sizes, and chunky silver glitter and a few silver stars. The sterling silver caps are stamped with gems, planets and stars, and the brass core (which isn't so obviously brass) holds it all in place and is a bit easier on the pocketbook than fine or sterling silver tube. Sling it onto a chain and go, use it for a rearview mirror or handbag charm or put it on your desk to look at when you need to escape for 30 seconds. Full size BIC lighter for scale.
FOR HOLLOW/STUFFED BEADS: Do not submerge in liquid, pretty please. Fogging and discoloration can occur. The seals are relatively tight, but not waterproof. A silver polishing cloth should work for the metals I use (sterling, copper and brass).
About the beads:
These lampwork beads are made by Sarah Moran with soda-lime glass (also known as soft glass), and are kiln annealed for strength and long life. I do my best to provide an accurate representation in the photos. If you are interested in buying but have questions, please contact me.
