I've been mulling over plaid beads for a while now, but these colors were specifically inspired by a plaid Ralph Lauren shirt I saw at the thrift not too long ago. I haven't seen one that nice in a while - it was a medium weight material and had a bright yellow base color with lines of all the primaries and secondaries weaving and overlapping, and if it weren't so dang yellow I would have bought it for myself. In my limited personal experience, nobody does plaid like Ralph Lauren, with, surprisingly, Mossimo (Target) as a close second. Ralph Lauren would not necessarily be impressed with these, but for my first stab at plaid, they aren't too bad. Bases of transparent aqua, yellow, orange, red and true blue over a core of white provide a backdrop for those same colors in intense opaques, and the etched feature brings out all the colors quite nicely. If you're a plaid admirer like myself, they'll be a fun addition to your collection.
