Big Rayv Kydz - 9 beads for dancing to the beatz

$120.00

6 inches of beads
bead size (approximately):
17x18mm, 15mm thick
3/32" hole

Many years ago (2014 to be exact) I made some square tabs just like these, but itty bitty, with itty bitty hearts trapped inside. I recently decided a chunkier version was in order. The original description went something like: "Okay, I know what you're thinking. It's either "well, that explains a few things" or "she needs to start using the spell check". Actually, around the time I graduated from high school I started hearing about raves. To sum it up for folks who don't know, kids my age would take a lot of drugs and dress up like Rainbow Bright and pass out in puddles in leaky abandoned warehouses while pulsating beatz droned on in the background. Not that I wish to offend anyone who partakes in these drug addled romps, and it's not that I'm a stuffy straight laced teetotaler. Please have your fun. I just like to be in control of myself. The only aspect that sounded vaguely appealing was the dressing up part."

And now, in 2024, as a full-grown, middle aged adult, and much more open-minded about about what I can "get away with", I find dressing up to be much more fun than ever it was when I was younger, and it's mainly for work. When the mood strikes, I can get pretty creative. And I'm still the grouchy portrait of sobriety (besides my workaholism), even though, especially nowadays, I can acknowledge a few drugs now and then might soften the edges a bit for some people. Yet I still abstain. However. If you like these beads, I encourage you to embrace your bead addiction, just like I have, it's much better for you than some other things you could be doing. Everything is on BOTH sides of each tab, and if they flip over, the heart is still right-side up!

About the beads:
These lampwork beads are made by Sarah Moran with soda-lime glass (also known as soft glass), and are kiln annealed for strength and long life. I do my best to provide an accurate representation in the photos. If you are interested in buying but have questions, please contact me.
